I am the Technical Operations Manager for a marketing company that specializes in custom marketing technology (martech) and promo products for Fortune 1000 clients and their agencies.

Our key focus revolves around the tangible products that help marketers promote various campaigns through increased brand exposure and product launches.

The tangible products I work with most include a mix of technology and print such as marketing brochures with embedded video screens known as Video Brochures, USB web keys, interactive print, Near Field Communications (NFC) and other similar products. Some of my projects require personalization and customization, which we achieve with our ability to print hard goods in-house using UV printers. We can also cut and engrave materials, such as acrylic and wood, using our CO₂ laser.

When not working on client projects, I wear multple hats taking on the roles of Network Administrator, Systems Engineer, Information Systems Director, Web Developer, and Digital Marketer. I design, implement, support, secure and maintain the network infrastructure along with public facing web sites and services. I also work on the design and development of internal and client-sourced web services including intranet, web and e-commerce sites and marketplaces. When necessary, I work with third party service providers to fulfill project requirements.

From a marketing perspective, my focus is on email marketing campaigns and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Additionally, I create content such as images, video and copy for blog articles and social media posts to help support such needs. Depending on scope, this may or may not involve the use of purchased assets and/or AI tools.
